+++ title = "The Orichalcum Giants" date = 2024-07-27 +++  # Overview This is an adaption of the giant adversaries of the gods in myth such as the Titans, Jotunn and Nephelim. They are made of the fantastical metal Orichalcum. They serve primarily as an "Alien Precursor Civilization" and as the forebears and gods of the Dwarves. # Lore The Orichalcum Giants in addition to their great size are capable of feats of great intelligence and craftsmanship. Their race has mastered the Natural Sciences and Alchemy (as seen with the Magnum Opus embedded on their chest). Though they are surpassed by other races (like Elves) spellcraft and other personal manifestations of magic. They prefer to live in microgravity, dwelling in massive constructed space habitats. The habitats themselves are distributed sparsely across the cosmos. The Orichalcum Giants travel across their sprawling empire at a crawling subliminal pace. The Giants are more constructed than born. All Giants are male and start life as only a little star-like sphere. The rest of their body needs to be created by their fathers. This body supports their great intelligence. ## Beginnings <!--- The Early Universe was a hot and violent crucible of life. Many bizarre creatures emerged from this period of biodiversity.
